Kevin Self - kself@acisinc.net
Chief Operating Officer
Kevin started his career in HVAC after attending UTI A/C school where he graduated with honors and on the Dean's list, Perfect attendance, and top student of the phase.
Upon graduation, Kevin was hired by McKinney ISD as an HVAC technician. After working at McKinney ISD for five years, Kevin went on to work for Entech for seven years where he advanced his career and knowledge of the HVAC industry. During his employment with Entech, Kevin attended various schools and factory training from Trane and Carrier as well as Pneumatic school. Kevin also conducted training for Centrifugal and rooftop schools. Kevin demonstrated a high level of knowledge and determination during his time with Entech and was moved into a management position during his employment. Kevin successfully led many projects and extended his already impressive knowledge of the HVAC industry.
It was at this time that Kevin and Mike decided that every other HVAC company could only offer the same environment that their previous employers were offering. Kevin felt like he "was just going to be changing shirts" and instead wanted to make a difference. "We wanted to build a company that takes care of its employees, especically its technicians. "We believe that if the techs are happy it will show in their enthusiasm." "An old saying I heard once (work is work)." "We all must work and make money and as an owner I just try to make this the best place to work within our industry." "We try to maintain a positive, team environment where employees feel like they belong and are a part of something."
"I personally feel like we have the best crew of guys in the HVAC industry." "They all have integrity and are willing to help each other out." "I have had some come in the office bragging on their co-workers." "I believe that is one of the best compliments a man can get is for the guy working next to you to value and respect your knowledge and abilities."
"We face problems head on with customers and employees." Kevin and Mike have built A.C.I.S. to a point where customers as well as employees know that the "right thing" will be done everytime.
Kevin and Mike started hunting and fishing together around the age of 12. Growing up a mile from each other they learned at an early age they worked well together while working with local farmers and construction projects during the summer months.
Kevin introduced Mike to his wife and through that relationship, Kevin met his wife. Kevin has been married 16 years and they have two kids. Both kids are active in sports and show animals.
"We put family first (everyone's)."
"I feel like Mike and I are a good
team because I know what he is thinking
most the time and vice versa."
