Mike was born in Dallas Texas in 1970.  He was raised in a rural area in northeastern Collin County and graduated from Blue Ridge High School.  After high school, he and his long time  best friend Kevin Self, went to Houston and attended Universal Technical Institute.  Mike excelled in school and received 9 out of 12 student of the phase awards along with perfect attendance.  “I did not know what to expect when I went to HVAC school, but I found that every aspect of this field was extremely exciting and rewarding to me”. 

After school Mike moved back to the Dallas area where he was married and started his first job in the industry all in the same week.  The first stop was Tom Thumb Grocery Stores where Mike worked for their in house refrigeration/air conditioning division.  After 2-1/2 years Mike moved on to Entech Sales and Service where he spent ten years and upon leaving was a Service Supervisor.

Mike and Kevin had always had a dream of starting their own HVAC business.  “I always had that dream in the back of my mind but I honestly don’t think I would have ever taken that step if I would have been happy where I was at”, says Mike.  Mike and Kevin founded Air Conditioning Innovative Solutions “ACIS” April 16, 2002.  The business was founded on some very basic but important values.  Take care of your employees and they will take care of the customers.  “I think a lot of companies have lost their focus, it is essential in all business to have the very best people, it is them who makes or breaks a company”.

Mike believes core values are essential to any business.  “The HVAC business in Texas is hard, Kevin and I understand that because we came from the field as service technicians.  We will always structure our business so our employees can keep a good quality of life, and we try to instill a belief of faith, family and career.  If you are successful in those areas everything else will work itself out”.
