Sales Manager
Although born in Dallas, Randy grew up in El Paso, Texas where he graduated from UTEP with a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Business Administration in 1973. It was in El Paso that he obtained his first job in the HVAC industry working for Longhorn Trane Air Conditioning Co. as Service Manager. During this tenure, he attended the Trane Company Company’s System Training School in La Crosse, Wisconsin. After a relatively short period of time, this company ceased operations, and Randy sought employment in other parts of the country.
With the company primary in his mind, and the location secondary, he accepted the position of Service Director for Capital Air Systems, in Madison, Wisconsin. It was at this light commercial air conditioning company that he began to gain first hand general knowledge of the HVAC Service Industry as he was entirely responsible for the operation of this division; including sales, dispatching, accounts receivables, personnel and materials management, and inventory control. After 7 years, he moved to General Heating and Air Conditioning in Madison to expand his knowledge and gain more experience in the hydronic side of the business.
Having grown tired of the harsh Wisconsin winters and wanting to expand his career in a larger market, Randy decided to move back to Texas in 1985; and started with Brandt Service Company as Sales Representative. Under the guidance industry stalwarts Jack Prince and Andy Zilbermann, Randy gained knowledge of major mechanical systems, its equipment operations, and the controls side of the business. He later served as Sales Manager and Senior Accounts Representative until August, 2005.
Presented with the challenge and opportunity of a relatively new growing company, Randy accepted the position of Sales Manager for ACIS in August, 2005. “What impressed me the most about Mike and Kevin was their dedication to their employees. And I believe that this focus is the primary reason for their rapid growth and success. That and the talent of the technicians ACIS has attracted. I truly believe we have the most competent and talented technical staff in the Metroplex.”
Randy has brought procedures and structure to the Sales Department, with a current staff of four outside sales representatives. Along with his vast knowledge of the industry and the market place, and his reputation of high ethical standards, he is a great asset to ACIS
